Kula Festival

Last Sunday Bill and went to church with some friends.  It was an Episcopalian Church.  Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea.  The service is held on a historic site. Outside.  Beautiful. It's been a number of years since I have been to the Church of the Redeemer in Houston (like 40 years) but I knew the songs and most of the Nicene Creed.

 And we learned about a festival in Kula (upcountry and away from the heat of Kihei) so we are all going on Saturday.  Should be fun.  I of course am looking forward to the free face painting....

Bill is so funny

He's outside working on the Lanai, replacing the deep sink. It was gross, almost as gross as the one on Bertha Street in San Diego, if anyone remembers that scary thing.

I got some water on the backsplash of the one here and evidently disturbed an ant home! Ewwww.

So back to why Bill is funny. His phone rings...he looks at the caller ID and says to himself (I'm inside working but have my eagle ears on) hmm who's 714-###-#### (whatever the number is) then answers and starts laughing. "Ha Ha Tony, let me stop you right there..." It's a work call, but he doesn't work anymore, at least not that kind of work. He continues "...I'm retired, as a matter of fact I am out on my lanai painting....ha ha" " I'm in Hawaii now, but let me give you Mike's number...ha ha."

Seriously he was chuckling. I thought it was funny. I took before pictures and am almost ready to show the After pictures of the work he is doing. Should look much better.

Seriously, 3 weeks

That's inexcusable.  We got busy with getting our list of 10 items completed as Lindsey and Jacob were due to visit the first week of September.  Got most of them done, even painting the last two walls.  Next is the Ceiling...I know, I know we should have done that first, but I couldn't decide on the color.  I still haven't.  But enough worky worky. 

We had a great visit with Lindsey and Jacob. I took the week off and since it was a holiday week, I ended up only using 3 days of vacation!  Love when that works out. More about that when I get a chance to upload some pictures.

Alex and Lauren's baby is due in just a few days, well just over a week.  They decided to call him Thomas, I love the name.  I tried to upload the sound of his heartbeat, but I am limited. It's very quiet and there is no image, but I enjoy listening to it all the same.  I am visiting on the 4th of November and can't wait to meet him.
